Talk to your provider first
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement — and especially in these situations:
- Any supplement for an infant under 12 months
- During pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Alongside any prescription medication, because interactions are real
- Iron, in any form, before blood work
- For anyone with a kidney, heart, thyroid, or autoimmune condition, or an upcoming surgery
Situations that need a doctor now
Holistic does not mean waiting. Seek immediate medical care for any of the following:
- Any fever in an infant under three months
- Difficulty breathing, fast breathing, or pulling-in at the ribs or neck
- Signs of dehydration — no wet diaper for 8+ hours, no tears, a sunken soft spot, or a child who is hard to rouse
- A stiff neck, a rash that doesn't fade under pressure, or a first seizure
- A child who seems "off" in a way you can't explain
