A word on meanings
Hebrew and Greek names usually carry a sense rather than a dictionary definition, and scholars sometimes disagree about the root. Where that is the case, the entry says “traditionally” — it seemed better to be honest than to sound certain. The references are King James chapter and verse, so you can go and read the story yourself.
If a name you love is missing, tell Lissa and she’ll add it.
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.
